Askolani, currently the Director General of Customs and Excise since March 12, 2021, has had a distinguished career in public service. A graduate of Sriwijaya University with a degree in Economics and Development Studies, he furthered his education with a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Colorado. Before his current role, he served as Director General of Budgeting from 2013, overseeing policy formulation and technical standardization in budgeting. He has received notable accolades, including recognition from the Corruption Eradication Commission and the Satyalancana Karya Satya XXX award for his 30 years of service.
