He is the Chief Economist at Bank Rakyat Indonesia and the President Director of BRI Research Institute. Previously, he was the Chief Economist at Bank Danamon from 2014 to 2018. He regularly provides macroeconomic analysis and forecasts key economic indicators. His insights are often featured in television interviews and major newspapers like Kompas, Bisnis Indonesia, Republika, Tempo, and The Jakarta Post. With a background in Statistics and a Doctorate in Economics from the University of Indonesia, he has strong quantitative skills. He taught at the University of Indonesia from 1995 to 2011 and was a senior researcher at LPEM-FEUI, contributing to over 50 research projects and 15 publications. He also teaches at training programs for Bank Indonesia, the Ministry of Finance, and in financial market courses like CSA and CFA.
